Craig Garansuay rejoined United Commercial Realty (UCR) San Antonio team in 2004 where he was previously employed as a sales associate from May 2000 to July 2002. In the fall of 2007 Garansuay was unanimously voted in by the Board of Directors as a Partner. In 2012, Garansuay was named acting President. In his current position, Garansuay assists national, regional, and local retailers with market evaluations, conditions, and trends as well as implementing appropriate execution strategies. Through his extensive network of relationships with investors, landlords and retailers, Garansuay has proven successful in securing the best possible locations for his clients by developing a strategy tailored to meet their objectives whether it’s opening one store or expanding into several markets.

Currently, Garansuay is responsible for facilitating the marketing campaign of more than 4 million square-feet in the San Antonio and surrounding areas through-out the Rio Grande Valley, which includes the research and planning for potential tenant penetrations of national and local retailers. Garansuay oversees the leasing transactions for projects including the 1.2 million square foot Forum at Olympia Parkway, the 900,000 square foot Alamo Ranch, the 635,000 square foot Village at Stone Oak, as well as, the 250,000 square foot Trenton Crossing (McAllen, TX), Garansuay ensures that his portfolio is a thought provoking consideration to any part of retail expansion programs.

Garansuay has specialized in retail in the Central and South Texas Markets throughout his career serving many of the nation’s top retailers including: AT&T Mobility (San Antonio/Rio Grande Valley), McDONALD’S USA, LLC (Rio Grande Valley), Harbor Freight Tools (Laredo/RGV), Advanced Auto (Laredo/RGV), Peter Piper Pizza (San Antonio/Austin), Jack N Box, Local Coffee, My Fit Foods, Moon Mippy Stationary, Freddy’s Frozen Custard (San Antonio/Austin), Golden Chick (San Antonio/Austin), Lion & Rose Pub (San Antonio/Austin), Freetail Brewing Company (San Antonio/Houston), to name a few.

In addition to his contributions to UCR, Garansuay was recognized by the San Antonio Business Journal in its 2008 issue of the 40 Under 40 Rising Stars. Garansuay was awarded UCR’s Top Producer award for 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011. Garansuay is also a member of the San Antonio Board of Realtors and the International Council of Shopping Centers.
