UCR Announces North Texas Real Estate Professional

DALLAS, TEXAS, Thursday, June 21, 2012 – United Commercial Realty (UCR), a national leader in retail real estate services, property representation, asset and property management and investment sales, has named Chris Young vice president. Chris is well respected in retail real estate and has consistently been a top performer in the Dallas-Fort Worth market.

Chris will join UCR’s retail services platform and will be instrumental in serving both the company’s institutional shopping center owner clients and 200+ national and regional retail clients. Currently, Chris is handling tenant representation for Duckwall ALCO, Gio’s Café & New York Deli, Mr. Wok Asian Bistro, The Salad Stop, Sparkle Brite Pool Stores and Triwire Engineering Solutions as well as various leasing assignments in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Prior to joining UCR Chris was an assistant vice president with The Weitzman Group for six years. While there, he was a member of a project and tenant representation team that handled the leasing of retail properties on behalf of Weitzman’s landlord clients throughout the Dallas area.

Chris previously handled leasing for a portfolio of retail centers controlled by Cencor Realty Services in the Northeast Quadrant of DFW totaling over 1.2 million square feet.

Chris was also at Rendina Companies in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, where his primary focus was leasing medical office buildings as well as selling professional office condominiums.

Chris has received numerous awards including Cencor Broker of the Year in 2008 as well as Dallas Business Journal's “Heavy Hitter” award in 2008 and 2009. He is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors.
